Design Critique
After much delay and anticipation DesignCritique goes live today. For those who don’t know what DCQ is about here’s the story:
It started with our account on Twitter where we tweet critiques on design within the 140 character limit. If that sounds easy – it’s not. When we use the word ‘critique’ most people think that we’ll be bashing designs but that’s far from it. In most cases we look for the positive in designs but if there are negatives and ways to improve, then by all means we’ll talk about it. So DCQ is as much an inspirational blog as much as it gives you personal insights of the authors perception of that design.
SPECIAL THANKS:
Many thanks to Jan Van Lysebettens who worked exceptionally long and hard on the Wordpress development for DesignCritique. We couldn’t have launched without his dedicated work. We also want to thank Serg from NextExile with the design work. He was winner of our contest and went beyond the call of duty in providing additional designs for the page.
We’re looking for contributors who from time to time can critique designs and we’ll be inviting industry veterans to breakdown any chosen design. This we think will give the design community insights to their thought process in design – from creativity to functionality to execution.
If you’d like to contribute to DCQ we welcome you with open arms. Simply contact us or post a comment here and we’ll contact you.
