This ad is brilliant and beautiful in quite a few ways. The problem often faced with asking for a donation is getting it. Often I see an ad for donation and it gets me on the spot but after walking off, I’m again consumed with my own problems. Coin-Shells by Salvation Army solves this by giving you a way, on the spot, to donate to their cause. It’s quite brilliant actually.

What I simply love about the concept is how the coins form a roof and bed into the scene showing what your money is going to be used for. Perfectly executed to the point that this should become a standard in their campaigns. What are your thoughts?

  • I think that this idea is a wonderful one. I agree that after glancing at a donation jar you can't help but wonder whether the money will go where it is supposed to or whether it will really do anyone any good. This campaign is a good reminder that the money goes to a truly good cause. Design-wise, it's also quite brilliant as well.
