Good points. I agree that this is one way of doing it different and not going the slideshow route but I ask you this – which are you more likely to remember about a designer you've never ever heard of: his name or his work? I'm betting over 60% would remember the visual aspect. Btw, I'm certain there's better ways to make a good impression with your portfolio that a carousel.

I wouldn't chance the order of presentation vs. portfolio. Soh did it the right way!

Why? Because the starting page gives a good impression what the site is all about. About a incredible good designer. Elements like a carousel are seen too much on too many websites. But Soh created something very special. To me it's more likely that someone remembers a designers website design, than just another website-gallery.

Just my two cents.

Thank you Damian for the critiques! I never noticed the alignment/grid issue I had going on until you pointed that out I will be looking into this!

I also think you have a very valid point regarding the presentation of my work pieces vs my intro. I will be back in the lab to rework the angle on this.
