Wonderwall

Wonderwall - mouseover effect

Wonderwall Inc. is an interior design firm established by Masamichi Katayama and they have the sickest portfolio I’ve seen in quite some time. Often flash sites push the barrier in navigation and in doing so many don’t come across as user friendly even for the web savvy.

Wonderwall - Navigating through selected work

Wonderwall - Navigating through selected work

Wonderwall manages to break those barriers to present their work in arguably one of the most original and creative forms I’ve seen. It’s a joy to browse because of it’s playful nature. It’s fun to mouse-over because the effect is so captivating.

The only downside is that it’s so good it distracts from the portfolio. I also found the loading time to be a little high but it could be my connection acting up. Nevertheless, I really love this design and enjoyed browsing it very much. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the tip Jan.

  • You're right! The site is very fun to play with. Although I did find that the unexpected navigation system was distracting, I'm inclined to believe it's because I was there specifically to play with the interface.

It would be interesting to see what people browsing for their actual services think.

    Thanks for the great post!
