This piece is a powerful statement and in order for the message to hit home, I disagree with your 'should have been polar bears' comments. I interpret this piece as a comment on the fact that, people should be putting themselves into the lives of the animals effect by global warming and acting now while there is still time.

This is absolutely unique and so creative! I think it's fine that they used human figures bc we are experiencing unusual weather and the like. At the same time it would've been more suited for polar bear ice sculptures bc in a sense they ARE melting away.
